Tweeting about Steak…..actually worked!
Jan. 27, 2012 in PR social mediaWhen Peter Shankman tweeted Morton’s Steakhouse (@mortons) that he’d love nothing more than a juicy steak after a long flight, little did he know Morton’s were watching.
Morton’s PR team saw the PR potential in this, if they acted fast. So Morton’s tracked down Shankman’s arrival time, hired a driver to collect him from the airport and took him to the nearest Morton’s Steakhouse and gave him exactly what he wanted….a beautiful juicy steak!
Would Morton’s do this for everyone? No probably not, but when Peter Shankman, the author of the book, ‘Customer Service: New Rules for a Social Media World drops you a tweet, his 100,000 followers are pretty good incentive to go that extra mile.
